“Our Savior Christ Jesus… abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”
—2 Timothy 1:10

Abortion is not merely a social problem. It is not just about politics, medicine, or women’s rights. It is the visible manifestation of Satan’s kingdom, a culture built on death, deception, and despair.

But the gospel of Jesus Christ is not a private comfort. It is the public declaration of a cosmic victory. From the womb to the throne, Christ has reclaimed the very realm that abortion seeks to dominate. The King has risen, and the grave is no match for Him.

The Domain of Death

Every abortion is a sermon. Its message? Death reigns. Human autonomy is supreme. Weakness is disposable. Children can be sacrificed so that adults may live as gods.

This is not new. It is as old as Pharaoh drowning Hebrew sons in the Nile. It is as old as Herod slaughtering infants in Bethlehem. Abortion is Satan’s old strategy dressed in sterile clinics and wrapped in words like “choice” and “healthcare.”

But Scripture unmasks what lies beneath:
“Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.”
(Hebrews 2:14)

The devil holds sinners in the fear of death. Abortion is his counterfeit “freedom.” Yet the gospel declares the death of death itself in Christ.

From Conception to Resurrection

Notice the sweep of Christ’s victory. He entered the world not as a full-grown man but as a conceived child in the virgin’s womb. He sanctified life at its smallest stage. He was born into poverty and vulnerability. He carried our sorrows. He was despised, rejected, and finally crucified.

But the cross was not defeat. It was conquest. At Calvary, Jesus stepped into death’s territory and disarmed it from the inside. And when He rose from the grave, death itself was forced to surrender its grip.

The gospel is not only about our personal forgiveness. It is about the cosmic reclamation of the created order. Paul says Christ is reconciling all things to Himself—whether on earth or in heaven, “making peace by the blood of His cross” (Colossians 1:20). That includes the very womb that our culture has turned into a graveyard.

The Church’s Mandate

If Christ has already conquered, why does abortion still ravage our land? Because the church has too often lived as if death still reigns. We have sought political leverage without gospel boldness. We have spoken in therapeutic whispers when the moment calls for prophetic thunder.

But the Word of God is clear:
“The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”
(2 Corinthians 10:4)

Abortion is one of those strongholds. And it will not be pulled down by clever slogans or incremental compromises. It will fall before the proclamation of Christ crucified and risen, wielded by a Spirit-filled church that refuses to bow to fear.

Resurrection Power in a Culture of Death

The resurrection of Jesus is not just a doctrine to defend. It is power to be displayed. It is courage in the face of hostility. It is love stronger than fear. It is truth that will not bend, even if it costs us our comfort, our reputation, or even our lives.

We preach life because Christ is life. We defend children because Christ entered the world as a child. We face down death because Christ already crushed its skull.

Abortion is Satan’s domain, but Jesus has already conquered it. The church must rise in resurrection power, not with carnal weapons, but with gospel certainty, prophetic clarity, and Spirit-filled courage.

The Grave is No Match for the King

The abortion industry is a citadel of despair. But Christ has stormed the gates. He is alive. He reigns. He has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

So let the church rise. Let pulpits thunder with resurrection truth. Let Christians resist the culture of death, not in our own strength but in the victory of Christ.

From the womb to the throne, the King reigns. The grave is broken. Death is undone. And the blood of the innocent will one day be avenged by the risen Lord.

The grave is no match for the King.
