The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates

For decades, many conservative Christians have believed that the fight for life can only progress at the national level. The emphasis has been on voting Republican and getting the right Supreme Court Justices elected who can overturn the infamous judicial decision: Roe V Wade. However, after nearly fifty years, and millions of unborn children dead, can we honestly say that this has been the most effective and God-honoring strategy? Our contention is that there is another way, a better way that is Biblically faithful and more consistent with the system of government that was established by our fore-bearers. The strategy of state sovereignty and the duty of local magistrates interposing for their citizens is a vision that needs desperate recovery if our nation is going to protect unborn image-bearers.
